FilmCues & Her Voice Film Festival Partner Up!

Submissions are now open for the inaugural Her Voice Film Festival in New York on October 2nd - 4th.

FilmCues is happy to be an in-kind sponsor for the inaugural film festival, and excited to be able to provide a discount to attendees and awards to winners.

Her Voice was created to celebrate and amplify the music of women and non-binary film composers, increase their visibility, and, most importantly, build community. While there are many diverse voices shaping the landscape of film, women and non-binary composers are too often underrepresented and underrecognized. HVFF aims to change that, and believes these voices deserve to be heard and celebrated.

The festival is inviting filmmakers and composers to submit films featuring scores composed by women or non-binary composers. Every submission helps us broaden the conversation and bring more underrepresented voices to the forefront.

Whether or not you’re submitting a film, join us from October 2-4 in NYC for a weekend celebrating film and music. The festival will feature screenings, panels, Q&As, live music, networking, and more. Whether you’re a filmmaker, composer, musician, or simply someone who loves discovering new work and supporting independent artists, there’s a place for you here.
